Our Concrete Garage Floor Replacement Process:

Preparation of the Site

The old garage floor is removed and disposed of. The gravel sub-base has been regraded and compacted. The sub-base grade must have an even thickness to ensure that the garage floor slab is the same thickness throughout. The grading must also have sufficient pitch to allow for proper drainage. Finally, steel wire mesh or rebars are installed. Both must be lifted during the pour.

Pouring & Finishing

Concrete is poured and leveled. The concrete is then bull-floated and left alone until all of the water on top of the concrete floor has evaporated, preventing water from becoming trapped and causing a weak surface. With a steel trowel, the new concrete is hand finished. The surface is ready for light foot traffic 24 hours later. Vehicles can be parked on the new garage floor after 14 days.
